We help our customers in developing their business critical systems and services.
To them, our ability to listen is as important as our expertise. We understand the significance of the service or system to the business, and what is essential in the development – a return on their investment.
Here are some of our customer cases.
Elisa Webstore
Online shop opened in six months
When launching a business critical service, it is essential to release a working version and make it profitable as quickly as possible. Once again we proved that we can deliver challenging projects with challenging schedules.
Business critical service
Elisa needed an online shop for businesses. Ordering products had to be easy and the delivery chain automated. “We chose Reaktor as the main supplier, because Reaktor had already proved that they can efficiently deliver challenging IT projects,” comments Samuli Volanen, who is in charge of Elisa's electronic services for business customers.
Up and running within six months
We did exactly what we were asked to do. The main thing was that the service was working and brought in a profit as soon as possible. “In half a year we were already providing a service that our customers are thanking us for for being fast and easy to use,” Volanen says.
New versions several times a week
Development work does not stop at project completion. “A new version of the shop is released several times a week. Each new version is improved according to customer feedback,” Volanen explains.
Elisa Webstore was awarded an honorary mention at the Grand One 2011 digital media awards, receiving particular praise for its smooth user experience. Read More

Ericsson Finland
Making an international product development organization agile
Ericsson’s Mobile Media Gateway is a market leader product, but increasing competition forces them to keep improving their product. Therefore a decision was made to adopt agile methods throughout the entire organization of 300 people. Reaktor was chosen as the partner and coach for the organization.
Aiming at a complete transformation
In 2008, Ericsson Finland decided that existing product development arranged according to areas of expertise would be reorganized. Several examples had shown that agile methods such as Scrum and Kanban made it possible to work more efficiently and speed up the publication of product versions. The challenge was extensive, however: The product development organization included more than 300 people and the market leader’s machine would not be allowed to cough. The change was initiated in cooperation with Reaktor.
Change starts from within
The basic idea was simple: Change from within, one step at a time.
Reaktor’s coaches joined all levels of the organization. The new way of doing things was first practiced and developed with one pilot team. When the pilot team had internalized the multi-skilled and self-organizing way of working, the method was introduced more widely. Ericsson’s first in-house Scrum Masters and other key agents of change, including management, were also trained at the same time. The aim was to coach Ericsson’s own staff to become transformational coaches.
The transformation spanned the physical environment, too. When people moved to the new way of doing things, their workspaces were transformed into open-plan team spaces.
When others saw and heard of the positive results of the first Scrum team, they too wanted to be involved. At first, two additional teams were established. Finally, the remaining product developers organized into multi-skilled teams in a big “rainbow exercise.”
The result is a global reference
The results were visible and impressive. In a little over one year, the organization of 300 people rapidly became a more and more agile product development group consisting of efficient, self-organizing and multi-skilled teams.
Today the Finnish branch is a global reference within Ericsson and is visited by dozens of visitor groups every year.

Suomen Asiakastieto
Time-saving Mobile Service for Corporate Customers
The customers of Suomen Asiakastieto often urgently require information about a supplier or a customer during customer meetings or when visiting worksites. They should be able to make agreements and decisions about credit on-site.
Asiakastieto wished to offer its customers a mobile service that would enable them to do this easily – and wanted to implement the service quickly. At the same time, Asiakastieto was curious to learn about new software development methods.
Time to Market: Six Weeks
Asiakastieto chose Reaktor as the application provider, since Asiakastieto was aware of Reaktor's good reputation and ability to make the right things happen, quickly. And this is what happened. The free beta version of the Android mobile application was completed six weeks after the project was started, and the paid version was ready a month later.
Company Information in Less than a Minute
The service is unique in Finland, and has received excellent feedback from its users. Company information is accessible in just a few clicks. Customers have praised the fact that even complex information affecting a company's creditworthiness can be found quickly, and in an easily understandable format. Decisions on further development for other mobile platforms will be made later, based on the lessons learned from the Android version.
