Reaktor Was Again Ranked as the Best Workplace in Finland
The software house Reaktor has been selected as the Best Workplace in Finland four times in a row.
Reaktor won the the general class of Finland's Best Workplaces 2011 survey, which attracted a record number of participating organizations.
When Reaktor participated in Finland's Best Workplaces survey for the first time in 2008, it got a record result. What makes Reaktor special is that the organization has continued to develop year after year. Reaktor's value chain has always been based on its people. This understanding is also demonstrated in excellent customer satisfaction and economic success,
explains Panu Luukka, the managing director of the Great Place to Work Institute Finland.
Why do people enjoy working at Reaktor? If you have a chance to listen to how proudly the people at Reaktor talk about their own organization, you don't need more explanations. Reaktor is the common thing of all its employees, and to many of them it is much more than just a job,
Luukka continues.
Reaktor's success is a result of a compassionate leadership culture combined with the expertise of the best specialists in the field. The company invests in employee satisfaction and in deepening the expertise of its employees. In practice this is shown in normal working hours and small employee turnover, among other things. Last spring Reaktor was also awarded as Europe's third best workplace.
All of Reaktor's over 140 people make the best workplace. They do their parts in Reaktor with big hearts, and without their solid expertise and spirit this would not be possible,
says Reaktor's managing director Vesa Lauronen.
Throughout its history, Reaktor has grown profitably and is continuously hiring new employees.
We are continuously looking for new people to work with us, and we hire new experts as we find the right people,
Lauronen continues.
Reaktor currently employs more than 140 people. The company's turnover was approximately 18,3 million euros in 2010 (a 10% increase from the previous year), and the result was around 3,5 million euros.
Finland's Best Workplaces survey is conducted by the Great Place to Work Institute, which annually surveys the best workplaces of 45 different countries around the world. Finland's best workplaces are mainly selected based on the opinions of the organizations' own employees. Two thirds of the score is directly based on employee survey responses. In addition, each participating organization fills a background questionnaire on the organization's human relations management practices.
